JAZ Athletic Wear and COA Announce Three-Year Partnership
SACRAMENTO, CA . . . The California Community College Commission on Athletics (COA) today announced that JAZ Athletic Wear will serve as the official sponsor of the following Hyundai - California Community College Championships: Fastpitch Softball, Men's and Women's Basketball, Men's and Women's Cross Country, Men's and Women's Track and Field, and Men's and Women's Soccer. The contract will last through the year 2003.
JAZ, a Miami-based company specializing in uniform design and manufacture, has a rich tradition in softball. With this sponsorship of COA athletics, JAZ will strengthen its presence in California, and expand its influence into a wide-range of sports.
"We are very pleased to add JAZ athletic wear to our growing stable of systemwide sponsors. Their commitment is greatly appreciated and will assist us in our continuing efforts to provide a first-class, quality experience for every student athlete in the five sports that JAZ is sponsoring with us," said Commissioner Joanne A. Fortunato, Ph.D.
The agreement entitles JAZ to a variety of cause-related marketing elements at each of the aforementioned championships, including banners, souvenir program advertisements, display booth space, and public address announcements. JAZ will also receive exposure to the Commission's 103 member schools through the publications California's Gold and Scoreboard. In addition the COA will promote JAZ Athletic Wear and its Web site, www.jazmar.com, through links and virtual banners on www.coasports.org.
