The California Community College Commission on Athletics (COA) today announced a new partnership with DonationsInk.com. The terms of the agreement provide DonationsInk.com with the exclusive designation as "Official E-Waste Service Provider" of the COA and California community college athletics through June 2008.
DonationsInk.com is a Colorado-based organization that combines environmentally friendly recycling with charitable giving. For every Cellphone, Inkjet or Laser Cartridge recycled through DonationsInk.com the sender receives a charitable contribution to a designated non-profit group. Inkjet and Laser Cartridges bought via the DonationsInk.com Web site also generates a charitable contribution. All products are priced significantly less than retail store prices, are shipped via UPS and are 100% guaranteed. A donation is made to COA and to each college campus for each item recycled or replacement cartridge purchased from DonationsInk.com.
“This is a unique sponsorship for the COA and very exciting for us to be affiliated with an organization committed to environmental support,” said COA Associate Commissioner Stu Van Horn. “We hope that many of our member colleges will develop localized partnerships with DonationsInk.com and promote their services to nearly three million adult students and staff statewide,” he said.
DonationsInk.com will be featured at COA championship events, by way of signage rights, public address announcements, print advertising, and product distribution. In addition, DonationsInk will serve as a sponsor of the COA Sports Hall of Fame banquet, held annually at the COA Convention.
“We are proud to participate with the COA in this statewide program,” says DonationsInk.com’s Chief Operating Officer Donald R. Corn. “With this exclusive breakthrough relationship, the COA and it’s participating campuses, students, faculty and staff becomes the world’s largest unified recycling organization and effectively implements statewide the newly enacted Recycle Cellphones law passed by the California legislature in 2004.” he said.
