COA and U.S. Bank Announce Presenting Partnership

SACRAMENTO, CA . . . The California Community College Commission on Athletics (COA) today announced a presenting partnership with U.S. Bank National Association (U.S. Bank). The terms of the agreement designate U.S. Bank as the “Official Banking Services Provider” of the COA and California community college athletics through calendar year 2007. U.S. Bank will also serve as the official presenting sponsor of all California community college championship events.

As presenting partner of the COA, the U.S. Bank name will be included in the official title of all COA state championship events. U.S. Bank will have a cause-related presence at 17 COA state championships each year, including presenter designation, onsite signage, print ads, product displays and public address announcements. U.S. Bank will also receive prominent visibility on the official COA website, www.coasports.org, various print collaborations, public education pieces, and a series of local campus events promoting financial wellness to the system’s 2.9 million students.

“This is an exciting time for the COA’s business enterprise. U.S. Bank’s presenting sponsorship with the COA is another step in the continued maturation of our statewide program and their presence enhances our continuing efforts,” said COA Associate Commissioner Stuart Van Horn. “During the last six months, we’ve been fortunate to renew and extend agreements with key partners and the addition of U.S. Bank is another indicator that our program is on time and on target for our partners and sponsors” he said.

Based in Minneapolis, Minnesota, U.S. Bancorp is the parent company of U.S. Bank. U.S. Bancorp is the 6th largest financial services holding company in the United States. The company operates 2,377 banking offices and 4,654 ATMs providing a full line of banking, brokerage, insurance, investment, mortgage, trust and payment services products to consumers, businesses and institutions.

Other COA partners include Pepsi, Blue Diamond Growers, Renaissance Agencies, Inc., BuzzOnCampus, Diamond Sports, California Track and Engineering, Choice Hotels, FieldTurf and Herff Jones. In addition, the COA has contracts with nearly one dozen ball and equipment agencies via adoption contracts for specific COA championships.
