COA and Mikasa Ink Three-Year Volleyball Renewal

SACRAMENTO, CA . . . The California Community College Commission on Athletics (COA) today announced that it has renewed its existing men’s volleyball partnership with Mikasa Sports USA through the year 2008. Mikasa will continue to serve as the exclusive official ball supplier of the California Community Colleges Commission on Athletics Men's Volleyball Regional and State Championships.

“The COA is very pleased to extend this long term partnership with Mikasa and men’s volleyball. Their continuing support is a key element in underwriting event management costs of our men’s volleyball championships and enhancing the quality of the championship experience for each participating student athlete,” said COA Associate Commissioner Stuart Van Horn.

Mikasa will provide the MVP200 as the official men’s volleyball of the men's regional and state championship tournaments for the next three years.

“We at Mikasa Sports USA are very pleased to continue our sponsorship of the COA men’s volleyball program. We are once again gratified that the MVP200 ball has been selected as the ‘official volleyball’ for all COA men’s regional and state championships. We look forward to our three-year commitment and wish COA and its men’s volleyball program the best of success,” said Richard McCoy, President of Mikasa Sports USA.

Today's announcement is only the latest agreement between Mikasa Sports USA and the COA. The Irvine, California based ball manufacturer is also the official ball supplier for the COA's men's and women’s water polo championships and men's and women's soccer championships.
