COA to Broadcast Football Championship;
Rams and Cougars Advance to State Championship

SACRAMENTO, CA . . . The California Community College Commission on Athletics (COA) will broadcast the 2004 Citi California Community Colleges Commission on Athletics Football Championship presented by Blue Diamond Growers live from Orel E. Micham Mineral King Bowl in Visalia, CA. The game will be broadcast at www.coasports.org via streaming audio technology.

The 2004 Citi California Community Colleges Commission on Athletics Football Championship presented by Blue Diamond Growers features the Northern California champion City College of San Francisco Rams (11-0) against Southern California champion College of the Canyons (Santa Clarita) Cougars (13-0). The broadcast will be available by visiting the 'COA Broadcasts' section of www.coasports.org, and will begin at 12:45 p.m. on game day.

Play-by-play announcer Woody Wilk and El Camino College head football coach John Featherstone will serve as the on-air team for the broadcast.

The broadcast is the fourth of the 2004 COA fall championship season. In association with the California Community College Sports Information Association (CCCSIA), and Stretch Internet, the COA has broadcast the women's and men's water polo championship matches on November 20 and the women's and men's soccer championships on December 4. Archived versions of the broadcasts are available at www.coasports.org.

The football championship game is scheduled for a 1:00 p.m. kick-off. Tickets prices are $10 for adults and $5 for children under 12, seniors and California community college students with valid identification. Advance sales are available by calling College of the Sequoias at 559.730.3911 or 559.730.3912.
