The California Community College Commission on Athletics (COA) today announced plans to partner with Stretch Internet to broadcast select events during the Fall 2004 and Spring 2005 COA postconference competition calendar. The contests will be broadcast at www.coasports.org via streaming audio technology.
Stretch Internet boasts more than 50 clients, including 40 colleges and universities at the NCAA Division I, II and III levels as well as several NAIA schools. Stretch Internet is the only streaming company to offer unlimited web broadcasts for a low annual fee.
Stretch also offers on-line archives of every broadcast, a web-based broadcast scheduler, web-based listener statistics and a fully customized QuickTime Player interface. More information is available on the web at www.stretchinternet.com or by e-mail at stream@stretchinternet.com.
In association with the California Community College Sports Information Association (CCCSIA), the COA and Stretch will broadcast the championship games of the women’s and men’s water polo championships on November 20. Additional broadcasts will be announced at www.coasports.org.
The COA also today announced plans to televise the 2004 Citi California Community Colleges Commission on Athletics Women’s Volleyball Championships, held December 3-5 at San Joaquin Delta College in Stockton, California. Dates and times of the televised broadcast will be announced in the coming weeks.
The California Community College State Championship Television Network started in 1999-2000 and is sanctioned and funded by the Commission on Athletics. The network consists of commercial, non-commercial, PBS and cable stations from Redding to San Diego. VIMA Productions of San Jose produces all of the telecasts for the California Community College Commission on Athletics Championship Television Network.
