2004 California Community Colleges Commission on Athletics
Football Bowl Selection Announcement
SACRAMENTO, CA .
. . The California Community Colleges Commission on Athletics (COA) will release
the names of the 2004 California Community College football bowl game participants,
as selected by the COA Football Bowl Game Selection Committee, on the official
COA website, www.coasports.org, no later than 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, November
14. The announcement will also be distributed to California media outlets. Telephone,
fax and email inquiries will not be honored.
COA sanctioned regional
bowl games, with host in parenthesis, are:
November 20:
American Bowl
(Mission Conference)
East County Bowl (Los Medanos College)
Golden Empire Bowl (Bakersfield College)
Graffiti Bowl (Modesto Junior College)
National Bowl (Mission Conference)
Producers Dairy Bowl (Fresno City College)

In Northern California,
the COA Football Bowl Game Selection Committee will designate one of the Northern
California bowl games as the Northern California championship, to be contested
by the champions of the North Division conferences (Nor-Cal and Valley).
In Southern California,
four of the November 20 Southern California bowl games will be designated as
first-round playoff games by the Football Bowl Game Selection Committee. Semifinal
(November 27) and championship (December 4) games will be hosted by the higher
seed.
The winners of the Northern
California and Southern California championship playoff games will advance to
the Citi California Community Colleges Commission on Athletics Football Championship
presented by Blue Diamond Growers on December 11, 2004, at Orel E. Micham Mineral
King Bowl in Visalia, California. Kick-off is scheduled for 1 p.m.
