. . . The California Community College Commission on Athletics (COA) today announced a partnership extension with Wilson Sporting Goods Racquet Division. The agreement identifies Wilson as the official ball sponsor of both the women's and men's regional tennis championships and the Citi California Community College tennis championships through the 2006 season.
“This is one of our most important and long standing partnerships and we are extremely pleased to continue this relationship through the 2006 tennis season” said COA Associate Commissioner Stu Van Horn. “Over the years, Wilson has remained a true friend of community college athletics and has always responded to our needs, “ he said.
The partnership provides Wilson with signage rights, public address announcements and print advertising at the regional and state championships. Wilson will provide the "Wilson Extra Duty Tennis Ball" as the official ball of the tournaments.
"Wilson Tennis Balls have been the Official Tennis Ball of the California Community College State Tennis Championships since 1982 and we are very proud of our twenty two-year association with the COA," said Steven Schultz, Western Region Sales Manager of Wilson Sporting Goods Company Racquet Sports Division.
