Citi California Community Colleges Commission on Athletics Women’s Volleyball Championship Returns to Stockton in 2004

SACRAMENTO, CA . . . The California Community College Commission on Athletics (COA) today announced an agreement with the Stockton Sports Commission to host the Citi California Community Colleges Commission on Athletics Women’s Volleyball Championship. The event will be held at San Joaquin Delta College, December 3-5, 2004.

The Stockton Sports Commission has partnered with the COA to bring several COA championships to Stockton, CA. The Stockton Sports Commission hosted the women’s volleyball championship in 2000 and 2001, and served as presenting sponsor of the women’s and men’s basketball championships from 2000-2002.

“The Stockton Sports Commission continues to be a leader among sports commission’s in California and we are very grateful for their support of this championship,” said COA Associate Commissioner Stu Van Horn. “The COA appreciates their continuing commitment to attracting California Community College events to this premier city and region. Their support – and that of San Joaquin Delta College staff - will enable us to provide a first-class, quality experience to participating student athletes.”

The Stockton Sports Commission will be named presenting sponsor of the championship, and will receive signage rights, public address announcements and print advertising at the event.
