COA Announces Dates, Theme for 2005 Annual Convention

SACRAMENTO, CA . . . The California Community College Commission on Athletics (COA) today announced that the 8th Annual COA Convention will be held April 7-8, 2005 at the Peppermill Hotel in Reno, Nevada.

The Annual COA Convention is the largest yearly gathering of athletic personnel within the world’s largest system of higher education. The event is attended by community college presidents, athletic directors, coaches, affiliate organizations and COA corporate partners.

Highlights of the annual gathering include the COA Hall of Fame and Pepsi Celebration of Student Athletes Luncheon and the Honoring Our Own Brunch.

The 2005 convention will feature the theme “Share the Vision…Together!”

Peppermill Hotel reservations made prior to March 26, 2005 qualify for a discounted nightly rate of $65 single/double. Transportation and convention registration information can be obtained at www.coasports.org.
