COA and Mikasa Announce Sponsorship Renewal

SACRAMENTO, CA . . . The California Community College Commission on Athletics (COA) today announced that it has renewed its existing partnership with Mikasa Sports USA through the year 2007. Mikasa will continue to serve as the exclusive official ball supplier of the Cit California Community College Women's and Men's Soccer Championships.

“Mikasa is a proven industry leader, and more importantly, a wonderful partner of the COA. We are delighted that their support will continue for another three years. Mikasa’s investment has been critical in our efforts to provide a first-class quality experience for our student athletes,” said Associate Commissioner Stu Van Horn.

Mikasa will provide the PKC56 as the official soccer ball to both the women's and men's state championship tournaments for the next three years.

“We at Mikasa Sports USA are very pleased to continue our sponsorship of the COA soccer program. We are once again gratified that the Mikasa PKC56 soccer ball has been selected as the ‘official soccer ball’ for all COA men’s and women’s regional and state soccer championships. We look forward to our commitment and wish COA and its soccer program the best of success,” said Richard McCoy of Mikasa Sports USA.

Today's announcement is only the latest agreement between Mikasa Sports USA and the COA. The Irvine, California based ball manufacturer is also the official ball supplier for the COA's men's volleyball championships and women's and men's water polo championships.
