COA and Del Costa Cheese Company Announce Partnership

SACRAMENTO, CA . . . The California Community College Commission on Athletics (COA) today announced a partnership with Del Costa Cheese Company through June 2006. The terms of the agreement state that Del Costa will be designated as the “Official Nacho Cheese Sponsor” of the COA and California community colleges athletics.

Del Costa’s two main cheese products, Nacho Cheese and Zesty Nacho Cheese, are produced at plants in California and Wisconsin. Del Costa’s dispensing system maximizes product usage (less than 2% waste), and eliminates cleaning time.

“This should be a true win-win for our colleges. Del Costa is committed to servicing our colleges, understands the complexities of doing business with higher education and is offering a terrific product that is in demand at our athletic events,” said COA Associate Commissioner Stu Van Horn.

The partnership provides Del Costa with signage rights, public address announcements and print advertising at all COA championship events. Del Costa will also receive in-venue displays and opportunities for additional on-site promotion.

“Del Costa’s mission is to become the preferred supplier of immediate ‘on the go’ products and equipment with our COA partners, and to make their fundraisers profitable and easy” said Del Costa CEO Art Morley.

Saddleback College athletic director Tony Lipold recently purchased Del Costa’s products. “We can make great money and there is no work involved. The machine is easy to use and there is no clean-up.”
