COA and California Track & Engineering Break Ground on New Partnership

SACRAMENTO, CA . . . The California Community College Commission on Athletics (COA) today announced a new partnership with California Track and Engineering through the year 2005. The terms of the agreement state that California Track and Engineering will be designated as the “Official Sponsor of the California Community Colleges Commission on Athletics Track and Field Championship” and as an underwriter of the COA’s Annual Convention. California Track and Engineering is the first sponsor of the COA track and field championship event in the history of the COA’s corporate partnering program.

The agreement allows California Track and Engineering access to display its products and services at the California Community Colleges Track and Field Championships, print and stadium advertising during the championship, access to attendees of the COA’s Annual Convention and year-round exposure on the COA’s official website, www.coasports.org.

“The COA is very thankful for the new partnership with California Track and Engineering,” said COA Associate Commissioner Stu Van Horn. “They have a strong interest in servicing our member colleges and offer a great product at a tremendous price. In that way, our relationship is a perfect mix as our colleges offer tremendous value for the money as well."

Founded in 1981, California Track and Engineering’s current ownership boasts a combined 40 years of experience in the track and field construction market, and offers its clients a "hands on" personalized service that is unique in the industry.

“We look forward to a long and mutually beneficial relationship between COA and CTE,” said CTE Vice President Jeb Burgess. “Our mission statement is not to be the largest track contractor in the Western U.S., only the best.”

California Track and Engineering made its debut as a COA corporate partner at the 6th Annual COA Convention, held March 26-28 in Reno, NV. The company served as a sponsor of the convention’s general sessions. California Track and Engineering will showcase its sponsorship of the COA’s track and field championship at the 2003 event, to be held May 16-17 at Chabot College in Hayward, California, which recently installed the company’s patented track surface.
