SANTA ANA TAKES OVER LEAD; HAS FIVE IN CHAMPIONSHIPS

The championship matches have been set for the California Community Colleges
Commission on Athletics Wrestling Championships, held at Fresno City College.
In an early morning session on Saturday, new points leader Santa Ana College
has advanced five of their wrestlers to the finals, with second place
Fresno City and fourth place Cerritos College with three apiece.
Currently, Santa Ana leads with 114 team points, followed by Fresno City
with 112.5 points, while Sierra College (89.5), Cerritos (87) and Palomar
College (63.5) round out the top five teams. The host Rams were able to
advance all 10 of their wrestlers after the early session, while Santa
Ana dropped to eight, along with Cerritos.

133 - Carlos Alaniz (Cerritos) vs. Gabe Aguilar (Santa Ana)

157 - Sinai Pezzat (Fresno City) vs. Devin Velasquez (Santa Ana)
165 - Glen Shaw (Palomar) vs. Nick Bardsley (Fresno City)
174 - Kyle Griffin (Santa Rosa) vs. Tom Eaton (Santa Ana)
184 - Tim Hawkins (Mt. San Antonio) vs. Jason Carrasco (Bakersfield)
