Kealii
Pearl, Taft College
It is with great sadness that I announce the
death of Taft College Assistant Volleyball Coach, Keali'i Pearl, after a long
and courageous struggle with cancer.
The Pearl Family would like to invite you to celebrate the life
of Keali'i Pearl at a Memorial and Funeral Service, beginning with the viewing
at Erickson & Brown Funeral Home, located at 501 Lucard Street, on Saturday,
October 15, 2005, from 10:00 am until 8:30 pm. Memorial Services will be held
Sunday, October 16, 2005, at the Taft College Cougar Sports Center at 2:00 pm,
followed by a Funeral Service conducted by Bishop Harold Pease of the Church
of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, dinner will be served following the services
also at the Taft College Cougar Sports Center.
Keali'i
has been the Taft College Assistant Coach for the past seven seasons and is
also the sister of head coach Kanoe Bandy. Keali'i has been a great help at
the State Championships and will be missed by all who were fortunate enough
to have known her. Many of you have asked me what you can do. Condolences can
be sent to Kanoe Bandy at Taft College, 29 Emmons Park Dr., Taft, CA 93268.
The Taft College Foundation is setting up a scholarship fund in Keali'i's name.
If you would like to donate to the scholarship fund please send a check to Kanoe
at Taft college and make check out to Taft College Foundation, Keali'i Pearl
Scholarship fund.
