Pasadena City College and Santa Rosa Junior College Are #1 Region Playoff Seeds

The top-ranked colleges in last week's region polls are the top seeds in the regional part of the 2004-2005 COA Tournament. Pasadena leads the south in seedings as well as the state in the final CCCWBCA Poll. Santa Rosa is third in the state poll and received the number one seed for North Region. The rest of the top five in the poll remained the same as the previous two weeks with Antelope Valley College in second, Riverside Community College in fourth, and the number five ranking going to San Jose City College.

Final Region Polls Capped by Pasadena and Santa Rosa

With region seedings being announced on Monday, the final CCCWBCA Polls were taken this week. Pasadena City College is #1 for both the South Region and State polls. North Region is led by Santa Rosa Junior College which is third in this week's State Poll. Antelope Valley College is sandwiched in-between in second. Riverside Community College and San Jose City College round out the top five in a week where there were no changes in the top 13.

Riverside Community College Regains Lead Share, Fourth in Poll

Riverside Community college re-enters the CCCWBCA fab five this week as they switch with Cypress College and land at #4. Pasadena City College is the only undefeated U.S. 2-year women's basketball college program west of the Rocky Mountains and the unaminous choice for the top ranking.

Cypress College enters the top five in this week's CCCWBCA Poll, rising from the seventh to fourth ranking. The rest of the fab five stay at last week's positions. Pasadena City College, Antelope Valley College and Santa Rosa Junior College occupy the top three respective spots. San Jose City College is fifth.

Colleges from the North Region of COA occupy two positions of the top five in this week's CCCWBCA State Poll. Neither were the team that was ranked that high last week. Santa Rosa Junior College went from sixth to third.

In CCCWBCA voting, Santa Rosa Junior College regains the top of the North Region Poll, knocking Lassen College down to second. In the State Poll, Santa Rosa falls out of the top five while Lassen reenters at #3. Pasadena City College continues its run at #1. Antelope Valley College holds the runner-up position.

Antelope Valley College Achieves New Height

Antelope Valley earned the highest ranking in the 23 years of its program as they take the number two position underneath undefeated state leader, Pasadena City College. Both teams share the lead for most wins this season with 16. Riverside Community College fell to third. Mt. San Antonio College climbed a rung to take #4. Santa Rosa Junior College is the only northern squad in the top five, but Lassen College retook first in North Region voting.

They snagged 10 of the 14 first-place votes from the panel of coaches, sports information directors and members of the press.
