Judy Stamm, the Orange Empire Conference Commissioner, announced that
Riverside Community College baseball coach Dennis Rogers has been
named Conference Coach of the Year for the 2000-01 season.
Rogers, who is entering his 13 year at Riverside Community College,
has led the Tigers to two consecutive state baseball championships.
Last year, he led Riverside Community College to a 46-7 record and
the state title. Rogers is the College's all-time winningest coach
with 403 victories.
"Obviously, I'm honored to be named the Orange Empire Conference
Coach of the Year," Rogers said. "However, I need to share this honor
with my coaching staff and the support staff here at Riverside
Community College.
"Without the support of my coaches, my fellow coaches here at the
College and the staff I would have never been able to be in a
position to win the award. It is because of the support that we have
been able to have the success we have had here."
