Cypress Softball Player Cal State Fullerton Bound

Jody Campbell, who helped lead the 2002 Cypress College softball team to the Orange Empire Conference title, has accepted a scholarship offer from Cal State Fullerton.

The freshman first baseman batted .308 with 31 RBIs, 28 runs scored and a team-high 12 doubles. Cypress completed the season with a 46-8 record and finished fourth in the state tournament.

Campbell is a graduate of Garden Grove High School.
