2003 ALL-ORANGE EMPIRE CONFERENCE
SOFTBALL TEAM
Conference champion Cypress
nearly swept top honors as the All-Orange Empire Conference softball teams were
selected today by conference coaches.
Charger shortstop Carrie Hagen and second baseman Lolani Alvarez were named
co-Players of the Year, while Cypress pitcher Lindsey Klabacha shared Pitcher
of the Year honors with Fullerton's Courtney Nix. Brad Pickler of Cypress was
named Coach of the Year.
Hagen, a sophomore from Marina High, led the OEC in batting average, hits, runs

missed the ERA title (0.69). Nix, a sophomore from Apple Valley High, led the
OEC with 12 wins (against four losses) and a 0.67 earned-run average.
