DAVID EADIE NAMED NEW COA SPORTS INFORMATION DIRECTOR

Sacramento, CA – The California Community College Commission on Athletics completed a nation wide search and recently hired David Eadie, from North Tonawanda, NY as its new Sports Information Director. He will begin duties of the position on March 2, 2001.

Eadie will direct the COA’s public and media relations effort. He will provide daily updates to the COA web site, coasports.org and will also coordinate COA polls, compile statewide statistics and serve as the primary media contact at selected Hyundai-California Community College Championship events.

"We are absolutely delighted that David has joined the COA staff. He will be a positive addition to our statewide office. We look forward to his contributions and leadership in the sports information and public information arena," said Associate Commissioner Stu Van Horn.

Eadie served as Director of Internet Development and Webmaster for the Buffalo Blizzard of the National Professional Soccer League. His background includes a degree in Sports Management from Ithaca College and he served in various public relations capacities with the Buffalo Wings, a professional roller hockey organization.
