COA Announces Dates, Theme for 2003 Annual Convention

Sacramento, CA . . . The California Community College Commission on Athletics (COA) today announced that the 6th Annual COA Convention will be held March 26 - 28, 2003 at the Peppermill Hotel in Reno, Nevada.

The Annual COA Convention is the largest yearly gathering of athletic personnel within the world’s largest system of higher education. The event is attended by community college presidents, athletic directors, coaches, affiliate organizations and COA corporate partners.

Highlights of the yearly gathering include the Pepsi Celebration of Student Athletes Luncheon, the COA Sports Hall of Fame Induction Banquet, and the Affiliate Awards Brunch.

The 2003 convention will feature the theme “Dynamic Leadership for a Diverse Society”.

Hotel, transportation and convention registration information will be posted at www.coasports.org as it becomes available.
