COA Cultivating Alumni and Former Employees
The COA is continuing a series of outreach efforts to attract former alumni and employees to give back to the educational system that launched their athletic and/or service careers. An informational packet was sent to the recipients of the COAs Sports Hall of Fame award and the response has been encouraging.

The COA recently sent a second mailing to various alumni and has spent a considerable amount of staff time reviewing sources to create a working database of alumni and a current contact roster. COA staff consultant Bob Seagren will work with the COA associate commissioners office in the ongoing effort.
In addition, current and recently retired community college employees have expressed an interest, including the Honorable George Miller, Dave Obenour (San Jose), Ursula Rauch (Mt. San Antonio), Bob Rump (Grossmont College), Cindy Clark (Sacramento City), Paul Debolt (Contra Costa), Stephen Epler (Yuba), and Ken Grace (Chabot) and Herb Loken (Bakersfield).
