2000 HYUNDAI CALIFORNIA COMMUNITY COLLEGE MEN'S AND WOMEN'S SOCCER CHAMPIONSHIP FACT SHEET

DATE: December 2-3, 2000

SITE: Lemoore Sports Complex; 500 North 19th Avenue, Lemoore, CA, 93245

HOST/EVENT MANAGER:

The Central Valley Conference is hosting; the event manager is Tony Oliveira, West Hills Community College, 559.924.1203

DIRECTIONS: From Northern California: Travel Highway 99 South to Fresno. In Fresno, take Highway 41 South to Lemoore (approximately 35 miles). Exit Bush Avenue; travel east to 19th Avenue. Head North on 19th Avenue. The complex will be on the right. From Southern California: Take Highway 99 North to Highway 198, near Visalia. Travel Highway 198 West to Lemoore. Exit 19th Avenue heading north. The complex will be on the right. Parking is available on-site.

TIMES: Saturday, Dec. 2: The women's teams will play two concurrent games at 10 a.m., followed by two men's games at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 3: The women's championship game will be at 10 a.m., followed by the men's championship game at 2 p.m.

TEAMS: Top two teams from Northern California; top two teams from Southern California for both men and women. Representatives determined by a seeded 12-team tournament played in three rounds in each region (November 14, 18, and 21) with the higher-seeded team hosting each regional game.

STATE DRAW: Single elimination tournament.

SPONSOR: Hyundai Motor America is the official title sponsor for all State Championship events. Mikasa is the official ball sponsor. Pepsi, LevelEdge.com, Justballs, and Mrgoodbucks.com are system-wide sponsors.

SANCTION: Hyundai-California Community College Men's and Women's Soccer Championship is sanctioned by the Commission on Athletics.

TICKETS: Available at door. General admission daily passes are $6 per day; $3 for youth and students. Tournament passes for all ages are available for $10.
