COST - $300 per team.

RULES SCGA - Rules
of Golf except as modified by Local Rules and post conference competition rules
as specified in the COA Golf Supplement shall govern play.
PRACTICE - No practice
or competition rounds of golf shall be played on the course during the two full
weeks before the tournament begins. Violation of this rule results in disqualification
from the tournament. Practice facilities (putting green,driving range and chipping
area) are available and may be utilized.
CONDUCT- Players
are reminded that unsportsmanlike conduct will not be tolerated. Additional
penalties to players who are found to have violated behavior code policy may
be imposed.
ALCOHOL AND TOBACCO
- Participants may not use or have on them alcohol or any form of tobacco. This
rule extends to the premises and includes the day prior to and day of the tournament.
SUPERVISION - Participants
shall be accompanied and supervised throughout the competition by an employee
from the college. Lacking this supervision , participation shall be denied.
FORMAT / TEE OFF
- Thirty six (36) holes of medal play. 7:30am tee off using 1st/10th Tees. Afternoon
round will begin at 12:30.
SCORING - Each player
is responsible for his own scorecard. After each round the player's marker shall
sign the card and hand it to the competitor. The competitor has the sole responsibility
to sign the card and turn it in to the committee immediately at the conclusion
of his round.The card is not to be delayed by other team members or coaches.
OFFICIALS - SCGA
Rules Officials (Blue Coats). Protest of the rules of play will be acted on
by the SCGA Rules Officials.
PROTEST AND RULES COMMITTEE
- John Woods (COA Rep) Dick Gorrie (Sac) Marsh Shumaker (Cit) will arbitrate
protests and rules of the Community College Code or the COA Golf Supplement
or as needed. Other coaches are not authorized to render rulings and/or interpretations
during the championships.
WALK AROUND - After
4pm Sunday May 2nd individuals and teams may walk around and view the course.During
the walk around teams/individuals must be accompanied by a coach or other school
official and must be dressed in the proper dress code. Players may not have
in their possession golf balls or golf clubs of any kind during the walk around.
Coaches may pick up packets/pairing sheets Sunday after 4pm at the course.
CARTS - Each designated
coach,from a school that has a team/individual(s) participating will have access
to a cart. No spectators will be allowed on carts.
SPECTATORS -Spectators
are allowed on the course; however they must remain on the cart paths or in
the rough. They will not be permitted to walk or talk with the competitors during
the round and must follow the club's dress policy. Golf carts are not available
to spectators.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
" Participants shall dress in long legged slacks or solid colored shorts
and wear shirts with collars. (no denim slacks)
" Only the head coach
or his/her designee may confer with his/her own players,but only to the extent
that he/she not interfere with the other players in tournament. Coaches are
not allowed on greens.
" Bottled water will
be available at various sites on the course. Please discard empty bottles in
trash cans.
" A trainer from Santa
Ana College will be on site and work
" There will be a coaches
meeting at approximately 9am after all groups have teed off.
