Glendale's Michael Schnyder scored 45 points, dished out 12 assists
and had eight steals last week in helping Glendale to victories over
Santa Monica and West Los Angeles. Mike was named MVP of the Southern
Division of the Western State Conference.
Skyline's Anthony Woodards had 36 points, six rebounds and four
assists in helping Skyline College to the Coast Conference
Championship and the North's No. 1 seed entering the regional
playoffs.
Riverside's Will Morris scored 57 points on 16 of 38 shooting (three
of six from the three-point line) and 22 of 24 from the free throw
line last week as the Tigers knocked off Santa Ana and beat Cypress
in overtime to claim second-place in the Orange Empire Conference.
Morris, who was named Co-MVP of the conference, also had 13 rebounds.
Riverside center Nick Gosserand added 37 points (16 of 21 from the
floor) and 20 rebounds in helping the Tigers to wins last week.
Gosserand, who was named to the all-conference first team, also had
six blocks.
