Central Valley Conference Basketball
"Players of the Week"


WOMEN: Fresno City College, KARI CAMARILLO (Freshman Guard, 5-3, Redwood High School, Visalia) scored 36 points (10 three-pointers) in a pair of Ram victories last week. Camarillo registered a double-double with 22 points (six 3FG) and 10 assists in Fresno’s 72-51 win at Sequoias on Saturday. She also had 14 points (four 3FG), 4 assists, and 4 steals in Wednesday’s 60-48 win against Taft. The Rams trailed, 10-0, early against Taft before Camarillo's third 3-pointer gave Fresno an 11-10 lead; and the Rams led the rest of the way.

MEN (Co-Player of the Week): Columbia College, ZACH DYER (Sophomore Guard, 6-2, 180, Sonora High School, Sonora) had consecutive 20-point scoring nights for the Claim Jumpers last week. Dyer’s 24 points (five 3FGs) led Columbia to a 101-91 win against Porterville on Wednesday. He also played a major role defensively, keeping Porterville guard Jonathan Joshua – the CVC’s leading scorer at 27.3 ppg – scoreless. Dyer scored 20 points during an 88-74 loss to West Hills on Saturday.

MEN (Co-Player of the Week): Fresno City College, JORDAN FARLEY (Sophomore Forward, 6-5, 190, Buchanan High School, Clovis) helped lead Fresno to a pair of CVC wins. Farley had 25 points, 4 rebounds, and 3 blocks in Saturday’s 106-76 home win over Modesto. He posted 20 points, 7 rebounds, and 3 steals in Wednesday’s 128-84 win at Merced.
