Women’s Basketball “Player of the Week”
COLLEGE OF THE SEQUOIAS guard NICOLE DAYE-BRYANT (5-6, So, Notre Dame HS,
Salinas) recorded double-doubles in both Giants' victories last week. Daye- Bryant scored a game-high 24 points, to go with 12 rebounds, four assists, and one steal in a 62-59 win over Taft (Jan. 20). She had 15 points, 10 rebounds, five assists, and five steals in the COS 78-56 victory at Taft (Jan. 17). Daye- Bryant ranks second in CVC scoring average (17.7 ppg) and fifth in rebounding (8.7). She has 12 straight games scoring in double figures.


Men’s Basketball “Player of the Week”
PORTERVILLE COLLEGE forward KIMARLEY WILLIAMS (6-3, 190, So, South Shore HS, Brooklyn, NY) totaled 63 points in two games last week for the Pirates.
Williams had a big night on Wednesday, as his team upset No. 6 West Hills, 68- 64, in Coalinga. The sophomore posted a game-high 29 points (12-24 FG, 3-6
3FG) with seven rebounds; he also recorded season-highs for steals (seven) and blocks (four). He scored a game-high 34 points (11-16 FG, 7-11 3FG) with six rebounds in a tough 88-81 loss to No. 5 Merced (Jan. 20). Williams averages
23.2 points per game, ranking second among all California players.

CVC “Game of the Week” Broadcast
Women’s Basketball: No. 8 Fresno at No. 5 Reedley

The Central Valley Conference Women’s Basketball “Game of the Week” broadcast will feature No. 8 Fresno City College at district-rival No. 5 Reedley College on Wednesday night (Jan. 24).

The broadcast will start at 4:50 p.m., airing live on AM-1550 Sporting News Radio (KXEX-Fresno), 1550snr.com, coasports.org, and stretchinternet.com.

Reedley (5-0 CVC, 22-5 overall) leads the conference standings by one game over Fresno (4-1, 16-8) and Merced. The Tigers won both CVC match-ups against the Rams last season, en route to their co-championship title with Merced.
