REEDLEY COLLEGE guard KAITLIN KAUFMANN (5-7, Clovis East HS) helped lead the Tigers to a pair of CVC victories – as the freshman missed just one shot from the floor. Kaufmann scored a team-high 16 points (7-7 FG, 2-2 FT) in Wednesday’s 109-37 win over Taft. She added 17 points (6-7 FG), seven rebounds, three steals, and two assists on Saturday, as Reedley won at Taft, 78-57. Reedley (2-0, 19-5) is ranked No. 5 in this week’s Northern California poll.

Men’s Basketball “Player of the Week”
MERCED COLLEGE sophomore forward LESLIE MALONE (6-7, 205, Stone Mountain, GA) registered his ninth consecutive double-double in Saturday’s 73-67 win at previous-No. 5 Modesto. In Wednesday’s 71-63 victory over No. 7 West Hills, Malone had 15 points and a game-high 14 rebounds, along with four steals.
