WP: Torres (12-3); LP: Mills (4-5). Top Hitters: Okamuoro (ELA) 2-5, 3 RBI; Contreras (ELA) 3-4, HR (14), 2 RBI.

Highlights: Frank Contreras hit his second home run of the tournament to support the pitching of sophomore right hander Andy Torres. (Fresno City, 36-13, eliminated)

GAME 4: Riverside 27, Fresno City 2

Highlights: Tigers sent 22 batters to the plate in 5th inning explosion, sophomore outfielder Antoine Cameron getting three hits (single, double, homer) and knocking in five runs. Freshman lefty Derrick Van Dusen scattered five hits over eight innings, walked one, fanned 10. Within one victory of school's first-ever state baseball championship, RCC has outscored opponents 44-3 in first two games.

Highlights: East Los Angeles sophomore catcher Will Durazo had a two-run single to break a scoreless deadlock in the sixth inning and sophomore pitchers Alex Chavez and Gabriel Apodaca combined to shut out the Beavers. (ARC 31-15 eliminated.)

Highlights: Freshman Matt Rico's three-run homer in the first capped a five-run outburst and freshman pitcher Jon Asahina shut out the Huskies until needing ninth-inning help.

Highlights: Riverside freshman Monte Mansfield (10-2) pitched a complete game, his third of the playoffs, striking out five and walking two. Sophomore Jason Farmer led the Tiger attack by going 4-for-6 with five RBI, including a three-run homer.
